As a part of their current Worlds program, Meta says it is launching Meta Quest in the US and Canada to provide youths between the ages of 13 and 17 with a comprehensive set of age-appropriate protections and safety settings. The ability to explore immersive worlds, play games like Arena Clash and Giant Mini Paddle Golf, take in live performances of comedy and music, communicate with people from around the globe, and express themselves through creating their own virtual experiences is now available to teenagers.
Meta has confirmed that it is leveraging the opportunity created by dissatisfied Twitter users to build a potential alternative platform to Twitter, known as Barcelona. There are speculations that this move may break the Twitter monopoly!
Meta launched The Performance 5 to help small businesses achieve greater campaign results while spending less money. They are now launching a series of webinars over the next three months that will provide deep dives into the Performance 5 techniques and assist organizations in successfully implementing them.

The Commitments function on LinkedIn has been optimized. This enhancement is necessary so that whenever a job is posted, the company's commitments, such as those to work-life balance, diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI), career advancement and learning, social impact, and environmental sustainability, will now automatically appear in the Job Details.
As a LinkedIn Premium customer, you will soon be able to add a custom CTA button to your profile, which would then drive profile visitors to a chosen URL from your LinkedIn presence. Five new nations have been added to Pinterest's Creator Inclusion Fund: Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France. The Fund is Pinterest's incubator program to support hitherto financially and academically marginalized creators.
Pinterest has announced that third-party ad demand will be available on the platform. However, there have been reports of accounts with less than a million followers having theirs restored, as well as accounts of dead celebrities and people who were never Twitter Blue subscribers.
Twitter has mandated advertisers to subscribe to Twitter Blue in order to have access to advertising and other tools not available to non-subscribers on Twitter.
Twitter's intentions to show more tweets and replies from Twitter Blue subscribers in the main feed have been implemented. This will provide them with greater exposure than non-paying subscribers.
Social media updates for TikTok
As part of the celebration of Earth Month, Tiktok has announced that starting on April 21, they will implement a new climate change misinformation policy. The new policy seeks to eliminate misinformation about climate change that compromises the legitimacy of established scientific consensus, such as information that disputes the existence of climate change or its causes. They will, however, support outstanding individuals and groups working to promote sustainability awareness and implement creative solutions.
TikTok is working on a new technique that will allow you to build personalized AI-generated profile photographs in-stream. The new system needs users to upload between 3 and 10 images of themselves, from which TikTok's technology can generate a variety of avatar versions and designs.
More trouble for TikTok as Montana bans TikTok. The passage of the bill would make the state the first to ban the social media app.

Reddit has announced new API modifications that would prevent its content stream from being employed for developing artificial intelligence tools like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Bard, and Microsoft's Bing AI.
Reddit is set to start personalizing advertising on the network based on self-disclosed gender identity. The purpose of this modification is to make the material on Reddit, including advertising, as useful to the visitor as feasible.
Reddit has added a new option to communicate on the platform. This is for the messaging system to serve as a Discord or Telegram-like environment where you may interact in real-time with other subreddit members.
